How it works - DSF technology
Innovative dual-tech detection
The SPC PRO seismic and shock detectors sense impacts and vibrations
generated by attempts to break in, break through or drill the protected structure. They employ
two different sensing elements: a Piezoelectric transducer and a MEMS accelerometer.
The signals collected from both sources are integrated and analyzed using adaptive
intelligence algorithms: these algorithms enhance the strengths of both technologies
to achieve maximum reliability in every application context. A special self-test function constantly verifies the operation of each sensor, promptly signaling any faults or anomalies.
Opening detection
Identifies unauthorized openings of doors
and windows via magnetic sensor
Break-in detection
Detects attempts to force windows and doors
Cutting detection
Signals cutting operations on burglar bars and
metal grilles
Drilling detection
Identifies attempts to drill walls
and reinforced structures
Breakthrough detection
Detects breakthrough actions on doors, windows
and walls
Breaking detection
Signals breaking of glass, grilles and other
protected structures
The SN-SPCP-FDR1, SN-SPCP-FDR1M and SN-SPCP-FWL1 detectors come with a service app, freely downloadable for iOS and Android mobile devices, which allows you to configure and calibrate the detectors using the dedicated Wi-Fi dongle DG-DEA-WF2. Once connected, the app automatically recognizes the sensor model and displays the related configuration tools.
More specifically, taking the FDR1(M) sensor as reference, from the app you can calibrate the sensor by selecting one of the three predefined configurations (window, wood and concrete), as per standard EN 50131-2-8 or by performing a custom calibration. In the latter case, you can create a custom configuration and set, for each type of attack (weak shocks, strong shocks and continuous vibrations) all detection parameters.
The app allows you to set:
detection sensitivity (also adjustable for breakthrough);
counting of the number of events that trigger the alarm;
waiting time between counts;
coupling, i.e. the PIEZO/MEMS balance coefficient.
From the app you can also:
calibrate the magnetic sensor (SN-SPCP-FDRxM sensor only);
display in real-time the signal intensity and event count;
enable/disable the status LED and configure its behavior;
know the specific alarm event thanks to the use of explanatory graphic icons.
SPC PRO offers specialized stand-alone detectors to protect windows, walls,
glass and reinforced structures with DEA Sensor Fusion technology.
